In this piece, alongside the usual fairytale characters like princesses, witches, false brides, and other strange figures who roam dark forests, glass mountains, witches' huts, and royal castles, we encounter a young man who plays a military instrument and gives the fairytale its name. He is a go-getter, a high achiever, who, although he frees the princess, must himself be freed in order to learn what love is. What a fantastic subject for improvisation!

"1 x RUM" – A science fiction comedy (in GERMAN) on the edge of the universal remote control
Exclusive preview of the new production by TheaterPACK

This adventurous comedy tells the story of a bet: is it possible to explore five Earth-like planets on a round trip through the galaxy in just eight days? Feline Fogg and her only equally astute partner, Passepartout, see their whimsical space expedition as scientifically sound. What appears to be a welcome opportunity for wealthy idlers to gamble turns out to be a necessity for our adventurers to save Earth. More precisely: to save the human race from its demise, which it is currently bringing about with vehement defiance of all reason.

With: Paula Schulz, Sophia Wagner, Hubertus von Quack, Ole Pampuch, Mario Rothe-Frese and others | Music: Rusted Dream Machine (Kathrin Kiehl & Steffen Petzold), Patrice Lipeb
Directed by: Frank Schletter

"Blutgräfin" - A multimedia play in GERMAN by Sandra Maria Huimann

The Hungarian Countess Elisabeth Báthory is said to have murdered 650 virgins and bathed in their blood to ensure eternal youth and beauty. This even earned her a place in the Guinness Book of Records as the "most successful female serial killer of all time." Numerous myths and legends surround her, and novels and films are based on her life. Inspired by this woman's dark image, she has been portrayed as a vampire, witch, or sadist who was prepared to do anything to preserve her beauty.
The historical Elisabeth Báthory was born in 1560 and was among the richest and most powerful noblewomen in Hungary. While her husband, Franz Nádasdy, fought in the war against the Ottomans, Elisabeth managed the family's extensive lands and possessions. Even after her husband's death, she confidently refused to relinquish her estates, which aroused resentment among other powerful figures. Rumors about the numerous disappearances of young maids were circulated and ultimately led to a trial. Elisabeth herself was never allowed to testify at the trial.

In her monologue version, Sandra Maria Huimann approaches the historical Elisabeth and contrasts her with the one constructed through stories. Supported by haunting and menacing music, the piece dissects the ambivalence between the expectations placed on women's appearance and position and their demonization when they ruthlessly try to meet these expectations. Elisabeth Báthory was not innocent, but others made her into the "Blood Countess."

Staging, stage design, costumes & video: Sandra Maria Huimann
Composition & musical direction: Tobias Herzz Hallbauer
Dramaturgies: Elisabeth Guzy

"Der Rabe" – an Edgar Allan Poe evening (in GERMAN) with Heydenbluth / Wolf

The American writer Edgar Poe (1809 – 1849) is considered the master of the fantastic horror story and the founder of the modern detective story.
In 1845 he wrote his narrative poem "The Raven". It describes the mysterious, midnight visit of a raven to a despairing man whose lover has died.

"The violin is a replica of the soul." (Amnon Weinstein)
"Thus, the viola is a replica of the dark soul..." (Klaus Heydenbluth)
And Axel D. Wolf plays and composes for this instrument in exactly the same way. Wolf studied viola and composition in Weimar and Leipzig, and has since composed countless works: stage works, oratorios for choir and orchestra, pieces for viola and cello, as well as works for literary concerts like this Poe evening.
Klaus Heydenbluth is an actor, musician (Clout Blued), director, and lyricist. He has been touring with Wolf for 23 years. A small, musical, literary, and thirsty pack: HEYDENBLUTH / WOLF!

Play / Voice: Klaus Heydenbluth
Composition / Viola: Axel D. Wolf
